A sigh.
One of the memorable sports of Pakistan Television is the captivating game "Ahat" which was introduced in the early nineties.
It is basically the story of Rabia (Sania Saeed) and Aamir (Salman Ahmed. Junoon Group).
It was written by Hasina Moin and directed by Sahira Kazmi.
Other actors include Talat Naseer. Samina Ahmed. Qazi Wajid is worth mentioning as Huma Nawab played a very short role
Rabia and Aamir get married in some emergency situations, some of their dreams of getting married remain unfulfilled, both of them agree that they will make these dreams come true in the form of their children.
One after another, four daughters are born in the desire of a son. Aamir is an ordinary employee. Aamir and Sajda are siblings. Sajda lives in Sharjah and they have no children. When Rabia gives birth to her fourth daughter, she expresses her desire to adopt this girl from her mother (Sameena Ahmed). However, this girl reaches Sharjah.
Rabia's neighbor and close friend Naheed (Talaat Naseer) cares a lot about Rabia and the girls. When Rabia hopes to have a son once again, Naheed expresses deep displeasure as Rabia's health does not allow her to go through the difficult stages of motherhood any longer.
Aamir and Rabia start dreaming of their son. Aamir's mother also has a strong desire for a grandson. When Aamir's mother gets the news that Rabia is once again with Umid, she contacts an Ameela and gets her to do some strange things for her son.
The girls are taken away from the mother and Rabia is locked in her room. When the girls are playing, the little girl gets hurt. Due to which Rabia descends the stairs quickly, she starts having labor pains, she is immediately shifted to the hospital and the child dies during the surgical procedure. But Rabia is saved.
Now the distance between Rabia and Aamir is created and starts to grow.
Meanwhile, a girl from Aamir's office, Fauzia (Huma Nawab), tries to befriend Aamir.
Aamir and Rabia fight and Rabia leaves the house. She takes shelter in Naheed's house along with the girls.
When uncle Anwar (Qazi Wajid) comes to know about this, he brings the girls back so that if the nephew has to take care of the girls, he will know the difficulties.
Meanwhile, Rabia spends time with Naheed's mother, who has fallen ill.
When her health improves, Rabia returns to her home, but Aamir and Rabia do not talk.
At the same time, the girls go missing from the school, everyone goes out to look for them, the girls are finally found.
Amir is sent a visa to Sharjah by his brother-in-law. Aamir is ready to go to Sharjah but his mother and Rabia are against it. Rabia threatens to go to her parents.
Uncle Anwar Naheed and Fauzia all try to reduce the distance between Aamir and Rabia.
One morning, when the news comes that the maid has died because her drug addict husband beat her severely, Rabia Zaruqtar starts crying after hearing this. They give and say that our daughters are our sons, we will train them in such a way that they will be a source of pride for us.
All the individuals acted excellently. The acting of the girls was spontaneous. Each character is a jewel in the ring.
Despite the passage of thirty years, this game still seems relevant today. Now the situation has improved somewhat, women are playing an effective role in various fields of life, due to which now the desire for a son has reduced considerably in the cities, but it is still the same in the rural areas. In the desire of a son, many daughters are born, but their education and training is not given special attention.
